being a weak link. I recommend placing fuses at the pump end. Current will always run higher and hotter at the load end. After seeing the pictures of what happened to the fuel pump wires it only makes since to add fuses in any situation. Nissan realized there was a problem with the load handling capabilities in a stock system so they improved the FPC in 1995. My modification also addresses this issue but you should still use fuses at the pumps.
